Two lucky winners left the Southampton Boat Show with new Ocean Signal devices after success in the RNLI’s ‘Crack the Code Safe’ giveaway. Ocean Signal supported the RNLI at this year’s show with the donation of two of their lifesaving products – the rescueME MOB1 man overboard device and the rescueME EPIRB1 emergency position-indicating radio beacon.

As the official charity partner for the 50thSouthampton Boat Show, the RNLI ran a range of events to highlight the work of its crew and raise awareness about how to stay safe at sea, with the ‘Crack the Code Safe’ feature being a popular draw. James Bubb from Thatcham won the MOB device while another lucky stand visitor and his young granddaughter walked away with the Ocean Signal EPIRB1.

James Hewitt of Ocean Signal said: ‘As safety at sea product manufacturers, we are hugely appreciative of all the work carried out by the brave men and women of the RNLI. Our main aim in developing our products is to ensure these devices can facilitate as many rescues as possible and help the crews reach casualties quickly and safely.’
